Ok,
I am not going to think this out and do research for this post like I do with other posts, but I feel like I need somewhere to vent about the horrible government inefficiencies that make our lives miserable every day. The government is slow, expensive, and time consuming. The exact opposite of efficient.
This is about how I had to go downtown to the city of Madison to obtain my police report which I will need to study abroad in Buenos Aires.
Here is what happened:
1. I park near the square in downtown Madison in a metered space that can only be occupied for 15 minutes at a time. I deposit the money and head in.
2. After I get to the first window I am informed that I need to go to another window upstairs.
3. I go upstairs and it turns out that this window is the wrong one. They tell me I need to go to another building.
3.1. This is of course after I have to call the original window to ask them why they sent me upstairs.
4. I go back downstairs and outside to feed the meter again, and then proceed to walk around downtown madison using my iPhone as a navigation tool to get to the next building. I would ask that you keep in mind how freezing cold it was.
5. I finally get to the next building to get this paperwork processed (which by the way they tell me will take 4-6 weeks). Fine; I sign the paper, leave the building, and go back to my car. At this point I had been down there for a little over an hour.
6. 3 days later I get an envelope in the mail telling me that I did not drop off the correct paperwork so the forms cannot be processed. So it was all for not.
If you have had an experience similar to this please share it. If you do not share your experience but you read the post I will assume you are lying, because everyone has had some kind of experience like this —- Government Inefficiencies.
